Oh my gawd ! I remember that movie ! I luved the music at the end when they showed the credits. It was an ambitious movie but lacked sufficient humor and directing. Too bad. John Lithgow is a great actor, he almost rescued this movie. Does your illustration represent the Black 'lectrons and the Red 'lectrons ?
We're gonna need a better Overthruster Drive to get to the bottom of this... :-D
That quote, it's Buddhist, isn't it? It's kind of an existentialist concept, but I'm rusty on Buckaroo Banzai. The point is being aware of yourself, and being at peace with where you are, which I can see in your picture, but I'm still left contemplating it - perhaps a message in itself? :)
Is this an extract from a previous picture of yours?
I loved the comment with your drawing, and knew exactly where it came from as soon as I saw it.....thanks for reminding me of my favorite movie! The illustrations you create are beautiful!
Love the simplicity of this and the way that it in fact communicates the concept. Like the contrast between the black lines and the textured background.

This is such a fantastic interpretation! Hopefully you will frame this! Is the original large? I can see this as a large print over a couch!
I'm lost, but then I didn't see the movie.
