What a great illo! I Love the old comic-style and you have done it well!
Exquisite! I was looking at a book of Roy Lichtenstein's pictures last week, in which they'd dutifully sourced and showed the original comic panels they were based on. What really matters in his work is the way he has selected from that 2D material, then cropped, rearranged and painstakingly reproduced it in the new medium, for his own purposes.
Your picture captures his sardonic irony, his dottiness, his double-meanings and his sly framing perfectly - I love it!
Great illo, very Brenda Starr ... but with your own fab style, natch!!!!
